Graduate Faster with a Competency-Based Education Degree
The University of West Alabama’s Competency-Based Education (CBE) option empowers students to set the pace of their own learning and complete as many courses as they want each term. Choosing CBE means taking advantage of UWA’s most flexible option and significantly reducing your time to graduation by earning credit for how much you know, not how much time you spend in class.
In select degree programs, students can choose the CBE track after completing their first 60 credit hours. The competency-based education curriculum is designed to deliver the quality education UWA is known for, so you’ll graduate with a degree you can be proud of on a timeline that works for you.
You can find answers to frequently asked questions regarding Competency Based Education on the CBE FAQ page here.
We are happy to answer any questions you may have during our virtual information sessions hosted by Dr. Jan Miller.
