Approximately 80 percent of students at the University of West Alabama receive some type of financial aid. Our students use grants, scholarships, loans and more to make their education more affordable. Aid may be used for the cost of tuition, fees and books.
Getting Started
- Apply for admission to UWA.
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online with school code 001024.
- Review your financial aid options.
After we receive your FAFSA, we’ll help you determine what aid you’re eligible for.
Federal Financial Aid Changes Effective July 1, 2026
