Alternative Class A Programs

Through our Alternative Class A programs, you can earn your master’s-level teaching certification for the state of Alabama as you pursue a career in early childhood and elementary school education. Both programs require the completion of a one-semester, on-campus internship.

Bachelor's Degrees

Our non-certification bachelor’s degree in early childhood development allows you to gain knowledge in a variety of areas as you prepare for roles such as a preschool teacher, child care provider or early childhood program administrator.

Education Specialist Programs

With UWA’s education specialist program, you can prepare for advanced positions such as a childhood leader or advocate. The program offers a post-master’s-level education and a Class AA Professional Certificate with the speed of a master’s program.
